Daily Digital Marketing Tip #15So, today's tip is actually a response to a question that I got from one of you guysvia Snapchat and this question comes from 'feroxs'.

So Fero asked me some advice in terms of attaining local SEO clients.

You can use the advice that I am giving to you guys and apply it to anything not justacquiring local SEO clients.

The first thing that you need to do, is nichedown.

For example, I would niche down and targetplumbers that need local SEO.

I would then use Facebook local ads to targetplumbers that are within my local area.

Now, the ads that I will create would be anythingfrom a video ad, like I am doing right now to a graphic, written ad.

Within that ad, I'd offer some kind of direct lead magnet incentive.

So for the plumbers, I would call them out and I'd be like, "Hey, Plumbers, would youlike to rank for the following keywords? 'plumber','*insert local area* plumbing services', '*insert localarea*'.

And the call to action I'd use would be somethinglike, "Click here to get your free SEO orders and take the first step towards ranking forXYZ keywords".

This lead magnet could take them to your website,where you get them to fill in all the relevant information and capture their contact information,or you could just use a Facebook lead ad.

You'd then create a bespoke order for theseguys or whoever hits you up and if you capture their phone number, you can send them thefree orders and follow up them with a phone call and go old school and biz – dev the sh**out of that new contact and see if they need any more help with local SEO.

hello everyone today we are here with another exciting marketing video in this video we will tell you about eight common mistakes related to SEO and how to avoid them when it comes to website optimization for search engines we can make many mistakes don't you think so SEO is one of the oldest online marketing disciplines and therefore it should be very clear but in fact quite the opposite search engine optimization is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic and unpredictable aspects of online marketing google launches one of the after another changing plans of millions of webmasters from around the world for this reason it is important to always be up-to-date and know exactly what doesn't work in this article we compiled eight different mistakes about SEO that you should avoid making to improve your SEO let's look at these eight mistakes that you should avoid making.

First mistake is keyword stuffing or exaggerated use of keyword keyword stuffing refers to an excessive repetition of a keyword on your website it is a method that many users have already tried to get more traffic and administrator adds a very high amount of keyword that google will think you are a spammer and therefore it will penalize the website now the question is how to improve text optimization without being a spammer answer for this question is very simple try not to always repeat the same keywords so that you don't overdo it and use synonyms words of semantic relevance if you want to check the optimization of your text you can use the formula wdf multiplied by I D F which stands for (Within documents frequency multiplied inverse document frequency) this formula measures the ratio of repeated keywords on your site and compares it with the repetition rate of the strongest competitors in the ranking so you can avoid using a very large number of keywords and identify synonyms and other words related to the topic in this classic we can see this more clearly the green line would be the text we are reviewing the orange line shows the average repetition rate of keywords and the black line shows the maximum rate which should not be exceeded as this could affect the website let's talk about second mistake which is not searching for keywords abusing when using keywords is a very serious mistake but it is also a mistake to published content without searching the keywords before creating the articles or landing pages to get organic traffic you first have to analyze them each and ask the following questions first one is what users are searching on the internet when they try to find companies from the same sector and second question is how these searches done after answering these questions we can focus on searching for the best keywords or combinations of keywords with possibility of conversion an interesting way to find keywords is to find out which ones are used by your competitor s and choose the most interesting for your website once you have the list of keywords you will need to create quality content that will solve the doubts of your visitors third mistake is creating duplicate content creating duplicate content is a common mistake and it can sometimes accidentally ocurrir it happens mainly in virtual stores which present their products within different categories were filtered by size color etc and as a result multiple URLs with identical product descriptions can be created as this google article explains duplicate content within a website will not be penalized unless the ultimate goal is to deliberately manipulated search results however we can forget the so-called while our budget the search engine assigns the tracking time for each website if the URLs our index several times we will be making the robots of google waste time so avoiding duplicate content will help Google crawl pages to include them later in its indexer here comes another question how can we solve this there are several methods to avoid duplicate content the most common are the three hundred ones and the use of ele equal canonical to indicate where the original content is available fourth mistake is incorrect use of titles this is one of those mistakes and seal with indirect effects of course you need to use the correct key words in your content after all the search engine needs to understand what the text is talking about but many times we find different pages in a website with the same title this usually happens if you work for example with tags or categories on wordpress it's similar to duplicate content Google can differentiate when you try to do something very clear with care here is an interesting tip you can help Google to see your titles directly you can rate them with the corresponding HTML tank this doesn't mean a radical improvement in ranking but it's the sign that the content is well structured and you care about the technical aspects of your site here is the mistake number 5 not paying attention to the meter description another of the most common mistakes in SEO is leaving the media description field empty or creating duplicate descriptions this is not a direct positioning error you will not be penalized for having a wrongly description but google pays attention to use our signals and if the CTR click-through rate is affected because of an incorrect meet our description you are not doing the correct things to improve the ranking and you will be leaving the way free for your competitors who have any elaborate snippet now the question is what should be considered when creating empty description here are some tips youth unique text for each URL make sure the information fits with what the user expects to find when he gets to the website otherwise you will have a high bounce rate use a call-to-action make sure the length of the text fits with the number of pixels of all devices six or an empty URLs without content if you have many backlinks evaluate each link manually can be very difficult to do this you can try to use the DeSalvo tool from EXO VI and evaluate your back links automatically with just a few clicks you can be thrice links and create a disavow file to send it's a google search console now let's talk about eighth and final mistake not using website analysis tools positive results should be translated into traffic and conversion after all the goal of improving organic positioning is to bring more users to your website through the rankings in the results of the search engines for this reason you should not forget to those analytics metrics and google search console to analyze the results from your website for example if you know through which URL for visitors are accessing the website you can analyze user behavior and even directing two pages that are better if you want to improve conversion in this article we show only some of the aspects which So if can find somebody that really understands the terms and searchto use and the content to create to make sure their company is being looked out first comparedto the competitors, hands down.

So let's keep talking about search engine marketing as a career as a say longterm freelance what kind of numbers are we looking at here? What kind of money can youearn? Wow so you know someone it depends on exactlythe job because sometimes it may be more copy heavy or may be sometimes more�social mediaheavy and understanding those two things can kind of vary.

I would say anywhere in thatlike 30-50 an hour is reasonable.

Certain clients want to higher level and may be afew more things they want somebody that can code as well or understand paper click orhave some experience in that area so might bump up a little bit more of that 40-70.

Sojust kind of depends on the client.

And what kind of if you will portfolio wouldyou need to get a search engine marketing job?You know any sort of samples from you know past jobs or something would be showcasingmay be a company or client you worked for, may be that content and may be those results.

So anything quantitative would be great.

It's like you grow that side of it from 40% to80% or you got a click through at a certain amount showing numbers is very very importantso if you get show how something was originally before you got it and result once you workedwith it that's what they going to want to see.

They want to see the results.

So anysort of numbers is great.

If you have visuals that's great.

If you are a writer on top ofthat being able to showcase that writing inside that's important too.

How do you price your SEO Services?

So I want to talk about how do you price SEOservices? Now, I have tried selling SEO services inthe past and I think I have made a few mistakes.

I have always tried selling SEO as a monthlyretainer package at the fixed cost say $500 a month or $2000 a month.

But over the last couple of days, I have beengiving it a second thought because I have not been happy with the way things are priced.

It just did not make sense to me because SEOrealistically when you get down to a project, initially, upfront there is a lot more workthan when there is, when you set things up and you got a process in place.

But the first few months always there is alot more planning, there is a lot more brainstorming, there is a lot more strategic direction thatyou need to set for you, your team for the client, you need a lot more research architecture,analysis, keyword page mapping etc.

So, there is a lot more work that is requiredupfront.

So, I don’t know how many of you are doingthis but I think SEO should be priced in two components.

Initially, the first, so like what I havedecided to map out a pricing strategy is like the first 3 months there will be an initialupfront investment which will be, for an example, we have a basic plan in which the initialupfront investment is $4000 which covers the first 3 months of work and then subsequentlyfor the remainder of the 9 months of the contract it would monthly, say $500 or $750, or whateverpricing you might decide.

But the idea that I am trying to sell outhere is, I think when you are selling to clients, you have to communicate not only the valueof SEO, that’s a given, you got to communicate that SEO does take time and you need to educatethem on the potential ROI upside of how much they could gain from standing to rank forthe terms that they are looking to rank for.

But you have to communicate that the pricing,if you force yourself into pricing it that way you’re going to be forced to also tellthem why there is an initial upfront investment.

And that I think, will be an easier way tosell because SEO does take time and the time that you have put in upfront, the thoughtprocess.

If you actually list out all the things youneed to do upfront and share with them, that okay I need to do a keyword research, I needto go through entire site, come up with a good plan for your site architecture.

I think when you talk through all of themin layman’s language and make them think and make them realize that there is a lotof time and effort that goes upfront and that justifies the upfront costs, it makes moresense for you because you are incentivized to also close the deal and you are not unhappylike I use to be in the past that we close deals for nominal monthly amounts.

But if a client did not go through on thefull 12 months contract, we would end up may be losing some money because we actually putin a lot more time initially.

So, I think if you price my idea of at leastpricing SEO services should be that you should have initial upfront investment and then subsequentlybreak down into monthly, a monthly retainer which could be any amount that you choosedepending on the level of service that you offer.

So, yes that’s just my thought and I thinkSEO can be better sold and you are forced to justify the investments upfront becauseyou’re going to have to communicate what you are doing, why you are doing it and actuallymakes you incentivize enough to actually spend a lot more time upfront because if SEO iswell planned well thought out, well strategized, you are going to do much better job and ifyou get that much more money going to drive you to perform better.

So, yeah so that’s my thought process ofhow you should price SEO proposals – initial upfront investment and then subsequent monthlypricing, that’s something you should consider for your future client deals.

First of all, you need a website and on that website you need to have your product, your service, whatever it is that you are offering, and a way for the person that goes to the website to sign up for that.

Now that website, when people go to it, you have to make sure that website converts.

Meaning that when people visit the website it has to be able to convert a visitor into a customer.

There's a whole lot of stuff involved in terms of optimizing your website, making sure that it has a good sales copy, has testimonials, it has good information about the product, it has all the benefits, the features.

All those things are going to play a role in how well your offer converts.

Also making sure that you've got a good price point, you've got a good call to action.

Something that incentives the person in some way to want to actually buy your products, service, or sign up for whatever it is that you are offering.

Making sure that your website converts is something that doesn't have just like that.

Typically what happens is you send traffic to your website, which I'll share some different methods for that in this video, but you send traffic to it.

Once you send traffic to it, you're going to see what your conversion rate is.

So when people go to your website you're going to see, out of one hundred people maybe one person signs up for your product or service.

Or maybe five people do or ten people do.

In which case it has a ten percent conversion rate or a five percent.

You really need to make sure that you know the numbers.

One of the best ways to track that is by installing Google analytics onto your website and that will show you a lot of the data of your website and where people are coming from, and you are also able to track your conversion rates and all that sort of stuff ok.

So you're always going to improve your website.

You're always going to test different things and the littlest things can make the world of difference.

Testing your price, testing your offer, testing graphics, colors, font sizes, headlines.

All of these things are things that you can test.

Just by making these small improvements, you'll be able to prove your conversion rate.

The other piece that you need is traffic.

Not just any form of traffic, but targeted traffic because you can send a ton of people to your website, but what good is it sending people to your website if they're not targeted, if they're not somewhat interested or have an interest in whatever it is that you are selling.

You want to make sure that you are sending targeted visitors.

There's so many different ways on online marketing to be able to send traffic to your website.

Everything from Facebook, whether that's building a Facebook fan page and using some organic methods.

You'll get more fans and be able to promote your website, your product, your service to your fans and Or maybe using Facebook ads through paper click advertising.

With Facebook ads you can target people based on their interests, based on certain things about them, their demographic.

It could really allow you to get really laser targeted people to your website that can really convert the best for you.

You could use Google, the search engine.

You could have a blog and put content that is related to your product, your industry, or your service and then attract people to you just from people that are searching in the search engine.

Once people come to your website they're already targeted because they came to your website by first consuming some form of your content first.

Search engine optimization is powerful for that reason.

Alternatively you could use Google ads.

Google has their advertising platforms called Google AdWords.

You can pay Google and optimize optimize your advertisements for certain key words and and then again send targeted traffic to your website that way.

There's YouTube, which is what I enjoy using and providing content.

When you provide content for the people in the way that I'm doing right now on YouTube, and you help people, and you put up videos that are related to your product or service, then when people find it they are already getting a taste for you, for your product, for your service, and what you're about.

It's going to help elevate the trust level.

It's going to make them want to do business for you because they are going to trust you more as opposed to someone that they don't really know that person, they can't get a feel for them online.

YouTube is a powerful way of attracting people and then funneling them in to whatever your product or service is and send them to your website.

Using Twitter, Instagram, Bing, Bing Ads, Yahoo, LinkedIn, there's so many different platforms, Pinterest.

There's so many different ways of attracting people and then sending them to your website.

Once you have your website set up, what I have to recommend for people is to pick one or two methods first.

Decide that you are going to commit to SEO and you're going to build a blog and master that.

In which case, find different courses, resources, and spend a lot of time really understanding SEO and implement a strategy over the long term that could help attract visitors and funnel them in to your website.

If it's YouTube, then spend some time working on that.

Maybe you find a goof YouTube course.

Invest in it.

Get really good at it.

You don't want to try to do everything and just dabble.

You will do a poor or average job at everything.

You want to pick one or two things and become really good and skilled at it and drive consistent traffic to your website.

Then over time, once you've mastered that, you can start another way of driving traffic to your website and just slowly build that.

So we are going to send traffic to your website, either paying for it or getting some fleet traffic through Google, YouTube, social media.

Once you get traffic to your website you are going to see exactly how people convert.

You are going to see whether or not they are interested in your product.

If your product actually meets the demand of the market.

Whether or not it's converting in any way.

If not, you can tweek and improve it.

And improve it over time.

Comand today I want to talk to you about how to squash procrastination welcome back guys so today I want toactually talk to you guys about how to Squash procrastination now I don't care whether you'restill at the job or whether you're a student whether studying or whether you're looking tobuild your business procrastination is something that we all struggle withand it can be really tough to kind of overcome and really getover and especially when it comes to your business is something that's going to definitelyimpede you from moving forward and starting to see some results in yourbusiness now I believe that you know one of thebiggest reasons why we all struggle with procrastination is because we tend tokind of think of us having to be prepared or having things perfect beforewe can get going I think this kind of comes goesdown to you know the way that we were taught in school to learn how we were testedright because when it comes down to it you know think about how you weretelling you how you learn in school you know you went to class for whatevernumber of weeks or days and then you have to kind of take all thisinformation then you like have to study for a test and then you would get testedto see you know how much you will retain information and then you get graded onit and so it's natural for us to want to come to do a similar thing inour business where you know we have to learn new skills and so you know we buyall these training courses we buy all these things that we hope aregoing to provide us with the skills and the knowledge that we're goingto need to be able to be successful in our business but the thing is there is there is notest right there is no test you can take for business that's going to prove to youthat you're going to be successful right there is no test in business that'sgoing to help you be successful and so the thing you need to kind of get overis the fact that there is no test guys and so all you can really do is youcan intake information you can learn this knowledge so you can acquire the skills that you need foryour business for example if you are in online marketing you're going to need to learn emailmarketing going to need to learn how to sort of traffic and you're going to needto learn how do i know you do some maybe do some how to set up landing pages andthings like that you're going to need to learn theseskills however once you've learned them then you have to apply them and really theonly way to prove that you're going to be successful is by getting out theretrying and seeing what works because what works for me may not work foryou may not work for somebody else and so you're going to have to get over this this idea of being perfect, this idea of you wanting to perfect not want to make a mistake isgoing to prevent you from actually seeing any success and seeing any results in yourbusiness that's probably the biggest mistake you can actually make becauseyou're automatically failing because you're not trying right because anythingthat you do in business whether whether it ends in a positive result orit ends up with really measily results what you can learn from things that givemeasily result is that you can learn that you learn from the experience.
